Do these buildings come as a kit that I need to assemble?

No, all our structures are delivered fully assembled and ready for you to move into. The only thing you need to do is prepare your site where you want your new building to be set.

What about preparing my site?

Your new building will have treated skids under it that are rated for ground contact so a level spot is all we need. We prefer a crushed rock or stone pad. This helps in the leveling process and allows water to easily drain away. A concrete pad works great as well but is not necessary. However you decide to build your pad, it needs to be level and accessible for delivery.

How is the building delivered

Delivery is free for the first 50 miles from either of our store locations. Your building will arrive at your property on a Northwood Outdoor truck and trailer. In some cases, we may be able to back our truck right to your prepared site, however we also have a shed delivery “Mule” that can move your building into place without the need to take our truck and trailer through your yard. This greatly reduces any ruts or damage to your yard. To learn more about a Mule delivery click here.

We deliver all over a 3 state area. If you are beyond 50 miles from our location we can still deliver a building to you, just give us a call at (800) 611-9471 or send an email to [email protected] and one of our sales associates will gladly get you a custom quote.

What are my payment options?

When you place your order with Northwood Outdoor, we ask for a 50% deposit. We accept cash, check, or any major credit card. The balance is due when delivery of your new building has been made.

We offer a rent-to-own Program (available in Wisconsin only.)

We also work with a bank that offers competitive rates for conventional financing. Ask a sales rep for more information.

How do I place an order?

What if I need to cancel my order?

Sometimes unforeseen issues can come up. If for any reason you need to cancel your order with Northwood Outdoor, we will refund your 50% deposit, minus 10% for office cost incurred, plus any additional costs we may have incurred for special materials.

How long will it take to build my new structure?

Our normal delivery time for a custom-built structure is 4-6 weeks from the order time. During our busy time, it can stretch out a little farther, so be sure and ask us about the current build time. If you are ordering a building that is already in-stock we can normally deliver within 1-2 weeks.

What about building permits?

The customer is responsible for any permits that need to be obtained prior to delivery. In Sawyer county, where we are located, any structure under 100 square feet does not need a permit. For anything over 100 square feet a simple accessory structure permit is required. However, this requirement varies from county to county. A call to your counties zoning office will most likely answer your question. Northwood Outdoor does not need to see a permit in order to deliver your building.
